PSY 370 (Introduction to Clinical Psychology) offers students an opportunity to work with clients who suffer from serious and persistent mental illnesses such as schizophrenia. It will meet on campus on Friday mornings from 9:30-11:00 for the lecture part of the class, with the weekly placement hours at Pilgrim State Psychiatric Center occurring on Tuesday mornings from 9:00-12:00. Students who would like to be considered for admission to this limited enrollment course must interview with Dr. Ginnetty (Room E-113 during posted office hours). The last day to interview is Wednesday March 15th.
Potential interns must be juniors or seniors in the fall (although courtesy interviews will be given to interested students who will still be sophomores) and must have completed PSY 271 (Abnormal Psychology) before the clinical course begins.
If you are interested, please sign up for an interview appointment at your earliest convenience. Sign ups are on his office door E 113.
